This lino printing technique was worked on while doing my Foundation in Art and Design at Chesterfield College.

Lino Print Neptune & His Sea Horses

This design was inspired by a renaissance drawing by Leonardo Da Vinci of the mythical Neptune and his sea horses, a drawing which has always fascinated me.

I like the lino reduction technique as it allows experimentation with layering different colour combinations.

Five final coloured prints are shown below.

Lino Print Last Judgement Angels

This design was inspired by the angels with trumpets depicted as part of Raphael’s famous Last Judgement paintings in the Sistine Chapel. Another example of the lino reduction technique, three final coloured prints are shown below.
